The kids thought this was so much more fun than a regular sensory bin, it kept them entertained (and learning) for so long, and the prep was so minimal!
INSTRUCTIONS:
• I used 2 drops of blue and 1 drop of green food colouring, then diluted it until I was happy with the teal colour.
• I thought it would be fun to have something frozen into the slide, so I added a whale
• Then added the water
• It's still winter here so I was able to prop one end of this up outside with a stick, but you could do it in a freezer as well
MATERIALS:
• bin, water, food colouring and Arctic Animals
It has been way too cold to play outside as much time as we'd like; so we brought the outside in!
I added shaving cream because I thought it could be fun. Future me will skip this step because it just added unnecessary mess. I'm all for messy play and learning, but the fun wasn't worth the mess in my opinion.
We brought over a bucket of warm water to make a washing station, which made cleaning the shaving cream off more fun!
If you or your little one's are into the Arctic animal theme, check out this "Save the Arctic Animals" activity we did, it was the perfect addition to this arctic slide!
I mean how cute are these?! I'm in love with them.
If you try either of these activities I would love to see how it turned out!
